SHOES, DRESS, READY TO IMPRESS

Finally found the dress! But, no this is not it! My Fiancé is extremely nosey and checks my blog account 😉 so this is just one of the many dresses I tried on.  Loved the experience of having my wedding dress on and spinning, laughing, and champagne toasting.  I always thought that it would be such a stressful experience trying to find “the one.”  Turns out it was the first dress I laid my eyes on!
Most people say don't stop at the first dress you try on, even if you absolutely love it, give the others a shot and see how you feel.  I loved my first dress so much, but I tried on 9 others and loved those ones too!  I decided on the first dress because it reminded me of when I first met my fiancé on the beach in a group of friends.  We liked each other instantly and were inseparable from the start and thats the same feeling I got with my dress.  The others were a little more edgy for my liking but if you want to feel sexy then there are some amazingly good options out there for you girls!
Finding which designer you want is key before walking into a bridal shop.  Know your style, design, and designer!  Also, having a great crowd doesn’t hurt!  Remember that this is your day and your there to see his smiling face (or crying face) at the end of that aisle.  Keep the love in mind while thinking of your dress options, what makes you happy is all that matters.
I chose Hayley Paige as my designer and for the dress I chose.. well you'll just have to wait 7 more weeks to see ;)

I had such a great experience with Blush Bridal Sarasota that I even went to get my {red bottom} shoes right after! The saying goes "one and done" and mine is "everything or nothing!" ...Just Kidding... I was just so excited to finish my outfit and knew what I wanted years beforehand ;)
Find a bridal boutique with a great trunk show going on to really make a great experience!  Discounts always make me happy especially when its 50% off of my dream dress!!
Hope ya’ll have the same experience when shopping for your {wedding gown}.

PICKING THE PERFECT VENUE

5 years ago I decided to move away from all of my friends and family and move to paradise.  I chose Siesta Key, FL for its number one beaches and of course the palm trees!  Well, because of this leap now that I am getting married I have to have everyone fly in for my wedding! Picking the venue was by far the most stressful piece of wedding planning.  My family wanted the wedding in Boston but my fiancés’ family is all in Virginia.  Both amazing places to have a wedding, but the more options we had for a location the more my head started to spin.  No matter what people were going to travel, so I decided they should travel to us for our big day!  Also, cake testing was a major factor – we need to taste that cake… and 50 others 😉 I narrowed my search down to 2 hours south of where we lived and as I was scrolling through The Knot’s wedding venues, I found THE one!  It was beautiful with a nice beach view and had so many places for my guests to adventure to! WEDDING PLANNING

On August 6th, 2016 I was proposed to by the most handsome, sweetest, and amazing man I have ever met!  I have documented in my wedding planner all the steps needed to make this day a huge success!   Now that I am just 7 weeks away from our big day, I wanted to compile a little blog for those who are either just beginning or who are in the same phase as me - deep breathes and hope we did not forget anything. Just kidding!  I was an event planner for 3 years while in college and picked up some great tips about planning and budgeting for my own events, which allows me to be a very calm bride (for the most part at least ). I am so excited to be putting together my to-do list for what to do in the first two months!  I got to organize lists, look at venues, shoes, and of course try on and find MY DRESS!! Some see this as the most stressful piece of a wedding but I took it on as the most exciting and Pinterest - addict -friendly months ever (yes, I made that up)! First Three Steps
